Flights to Israel are ramping up faster than anticipated as major foreign airlines resume Tel Aviv flights this summer. Ben Gurion Airport has added at least 120 new flights August alone.
United Airlines, Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings), Wizz Air, and Aegean are all restarting routes. United Airlines is resuming 56 flights between Tel Aviv and New York next month, while Wizz Air is adding 41 Tel Aviv flights to European cities. Lufthansa Group and Aegean have not finalised their full Tel Aviv flight schedules but are expected to operate at least 20 flights combined.
Aegean Airlines will restart flights from July 14, flying to Athens, Crete, and Larnaca, with Mykonos and Thessaloniki routes to follow. Tickets for these Tel Aviv flights are not yet available on its website.
United Airlines resumes its flights on the Tel Aviv–New York/Newark route on July 21, offering 14 weekly flights.
Lufthansa Group will gradually restore flights from August 1, though it has not confirmed exact destinations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, or Belgium. Before suspending operations, Lufthansa Group operated 60 weekly flights to Israel.
Wizz Air returns to Israel starting August 8 with flights from Tel Aviv to Larnaca and Budapest. Dubai flights resume August 15, followed by London on August 22. From September 1, Wizz Air will also restart flights to Vienna, Milan, Rome, Iasi, and Sofia, with additional flights added mid-September. It plans to operate 10 weekly flights to Israel initially, rising to 13 and then 18 weekly flights by late August.
